I love the tropics. I have had the good fortune over many  years to travel to many different warm and sunny tropical  locations. It is vital, actually, when living up here at 7000 feet in the high dry desert, to get down to sea level periodically and soak in the ocean waters. I not only get a welcome hydration fix, but my love for color has a feast. I always wonder why more people don’t bring all these juicy tropical colors home with them so they can feel like they are on vacation every day.

I especially love island natives and their food. How can you can wrong sitting on a pristine beach beneath a canopy of violet bougainvillea, munching on conch fritters and sipping on a banana daiquiri while listening to a native old timer share his stories of life on the island?
