Blissfull Blog

Welcome to my new Blissfull blog!

I am starting off this New Year into 2012 with a major change to my blog. I originally had in mind to write about five areas of passionate interest to me, along with art. But since the creation of this website, I have become a rather prolific blogger in some of these niche passions. I dove into the world of internet marketing two years ago as a backup plan to the weakening art market. That is a story in itself which may become its own blog later this year. The internet marketing world is an ocean of information and opportunities, but it is easy to get lost at sea there. I gravitated to blogging because I love to write, but also because the artist in me enjoyed the creative aspect of designing blogs. I now have blogs out there in many of my passionate niches such as biodynamic gardening, growing orchids, solar and wind energy, rainforests, greenhouses, dragonflies, African textiles and more. But my number one passion is my art, my painting and the world of color and beauty.

I have decided to focus my Blissfull Blog entirely to art, and to start writing an art book here on the blog. You can follow along if you like. I am excited to do this for it gives me the opportunity to share many of the stories behind my paintings, and to take you on a journey with me in my life as a painter. I hope that I will capture the spirit of art, as well as the spirit of artists who dare to walk the razors edge in their calling to express that which has touched their souls.

We human beings are each at this moment in our evolution akin to a nymph making its way out of its life in the water to a whole new life in the air with colorful wings as a dragonfly. There is abundant, new energy coming to us now on the planet to assist us in our transformation from nymph to dragonfly. A new world is dawning as we each make this shift towards a more fulfilling, creative way of living from the heart. It is time for us all to truly “follow our bliss.”

Art and beauty are destined to bloom and flourish in the days to come as we move to more right brained solutions for living. As we set ourselves free from the limitations imposed upon us by a predominantly left brained society, we will come to understand and value more deeply the tremendous gifts in our creative expressions. I once read that the happiest and most productive cultures are those who support and engage the arts. There is an artist in all of us, and many forms of that expression. To support and cultivate the arts, and the artist within, is to acknowledge and embrace the mystery of the soul that dwells within. For we live in a most magnificent and creative world, and our sense of place, purpose and unity with creation is best understood in the flow of our own creative energy. Once the creative gates are flung open, there is no going back. A beautiful work of art is always the promise of more to come.

If you happen upon this blissfull blog, please share your comments. For a blog is designed to be a platform of exchange and sharing. That is what gives it life.

Blessings for this powerful New Year,

Annie
